COUNTY PROGRAMMES
Kent Tennis’ Junior County Programmes are designed to bring together the very best players from around the county, in a hard-working, fun and informative environment. The purpose of the annual programme is to not only support the development of each player, but to bring together groups of players as a team in what is primarily an individual sport.
Currently, the programme consists of ‘County Camps’ for children 8U and our ‘County Training’ programme running between the ages of 9U-18U. In addition to the 7U & 8U monthly county camps, we run other specialised camps during the year.
Throughout the duration of the county training programme, whilst there will be singles play, the main focus will be to learn about the British Tennis Doubles System, with priority attention given to the specific areas that the age group captain has highlighted to best prepare the players for the County Cup event. Sessions are often held monthly on a Sunday afternoon/evening.
